Episode 55: Golf's Longest Day

June 5, 2023 - dreams will be come true and hopes will be dashed on golf's longest day, sectional qualifying for the United States Open next week at Los Angeles Country Club. We had our eye on multiple former podcast guests and friends who were looking to punch their ticket to the U.S. Open. Friend of the pod, Frankie Capan III completed the dream and will be playing next week in LA. Jack's course gave the best players in the world a real challenge as Viktor Hovland got his first "non-resort" PGA Tour win as he bested Denny McCarthy in a playoff. We will make a few observations about the tournament and the upcoming RBC Canadian Open. Rose Zhang made her professional debut and was firing on all cylinders to win! Will she become the dominant force in the women's game? Does the LPGA need a dominant superstar? We will discuss these things as well as our own games on the podcast this week.
